Setting the House In Place

My birthplace from the north

My birth place from the south

No, not my birth child.  This guy is just
a helper

The truck has backed me into place
on my new home

And if the north view didn't reveal
all, my this south view will.

And the helper did this to my birth place!
Good job or what!

Early in the morning I'm not
at my best.

But here I am, with my entourage
helping to hold me from falling

My porch sticks out like a nose.
I need a face left

Am I cool or what?  I'm looking
so elegant it makes me blush

And my friends on either side
are jealous

What's this?  What's this? people are trying
to box me in with concrete so I won't escape

Mmmm. A concrete base could be a
a good thing

I'll give it some thought.  As I
think preparations are under way

I hope I get grass like me friend

See, I fit right in

Building the Foundation

Okay, what's the big orange striped
truck for?

This guy left his lunch
in MY foundation

You guys do known what you
are doing, right?

"sticks and stones".  Plenty of sticks
and a few boards

Things are going nicely

Still going nicely, from a different
location

Ah, we're all looking, we're not doing
what's up?

The big truck is back.
Hope we're not moving again

The guys are walking into my basement.
This does not bode well

They're laying plywood so they don't
sink.  They're backing the truck up

Great view of the back

Oh, I get it, they're taking out
the steel beams holding me up

And I'm giving birth to steel,
beams that is

Here they come.  Gently, gently

What, you're stuck again?

Oh I see.  The beam is being hooked up
to the crane

Here comes the other steel beam

And it's still coming

Now the other one

Thank goodness, the traveling beams are
traveling away to their next job

Building the Basement

All that brand new lumber looks
so ugly.  Please make it straight

My friend Susan making it look easy
.
But I know she's not having fun

"Susan, this one's dirty, do we
still need to keep it?"

Look at my wonderful, new garage
and basement.

"Okay, I can do this"

"I really can"

My new stairs leading from the
garage to the basement

My new basement

My wiring needs attention folks

My used microwave.  We treat the
workers well

My slightly used plumbing

And here is a picture of Fred,
praying for the end to come quickly

Look at the very tippy tip of his nose

Fred, guarding the garage

Look closely
.  The shiny stuff is
not dandruff

Hello front door.  Welcome to our home

Okay, okay.  The porch needs work

Look, my birth place.  It's growing grass

I'm proud.  It's really grass

Yes, really, really grass
